Pumpkin Guts

Our pumpkins for Halloween were decorated with stickers instead of carved.  This left the girls to wonder... What does the instead of a pumpkin look like?  We decided to investigate on Sophia's day off from school.

We had three pumpkins this year.  The girls used foam stickers for each face.  Serefin liked taking the stickers off more than putting them on, so her pumpkin is a little naked.

 Mom took a few pics of our orange friends before cutting them open...

Sophia was very excited to see the inside of the pumpkin... Mom did the cutting but the girls got to do all the scrapping.  It was a mess... next time will do it outside.

Serafin loved the gooey part.  Sophia was more interested in the seeds and making pie.  We didn't make pie, but we did bake and eat some of the pumpkin for a snack.  It was very tasty, could make a great addition to our oatmeal in the morning.
