Sophia and her Daisy Troop enjoyed Encampment today. It was a great day.
We started our day with a short Flag Ceremony and then we were off to our first Station for the day. We started our day with a trip to "space". We made some rockets, constellation telescopes and played some space-y field games.
Next, we headed to Jungle and did some letter boxing. We finished up our trip in the South Pole with some wintery relay races. It was a great day trip. Our troop decided to extend the day with a camp fire cookout with some other troops. Sophia loved making her own dinner in a fire pit. The Banana boats were a huge hit with all the girls. After dinner Sophia, her friends, and the Moms danced the night away. It was a great wonderful. As Daisy Scouts the girls were not old enough to spend the night, but they all asked for overnight camp next year. I'm so excited for our next year of scouting!
