Sophia is very excited for a new summer of reading. Sophia has decided to learn about space this summer. She got just about every book she could find on space. Along with summer reading Sophia will need to turn in a Non-Fiction Book report on the first day of 2nd Grade. She's decided to do her report on Black Holes. She's hoping that she'll be the only one in her class with that topic.
We've also picked up lots of fiction too. Wonder Women is still a favorite with both girls. Sophia is still struggling with some of her phonics skill, but is improving everyday. Sophia's been working on sight words and practices reading every day. She's very motivated to become a better reading... and prizes from the library's summer reading program don't hurt!
