Read to Me Book Club

Today was book club at the library.  Sophia read Fran Manushkin's The Shivers in the Fridge.  The Shiver family is freezing cold. Although they vaguely remember a time when they were standing tall, now they must contend with darkness, earthquakes and monsters plucking things from their frigid home. It was fun to see how long it took Sophia to figure out what and where the family really is.  It actually took me till the end of the book to figure it out... 

On the road again....

I just can't wait to get on the road again....

 After the library we played with the neighborhood kids outside till dinner.  We had Sophia's favorite dinner tonight, PIZZA!  She can be such a David clone sometimes!  There were lots of tears at dinner unfortunately.  Sophia really wanted to stay outside to play...  She did finally eat her dinner and was allowed to enjoy some dessert.  David also brought home Munchkins from Dunkin Donuts.  Yummy!
