There are so many things to miss about San Diego... great weather, our family & friends, really good Mexican food, and Balboa Park. I loved taking the kids to Balboa Park. Every Tuesday was free for residents and the girls and were regulars.
We got to see almost every museum available but we did miss a few. Unfortunately, there is nothing like Balboa Park in New England. However, there are several museums though out the area that are great for kids. First on the list to visit was the The Discovery Museums. Side by side in Acton is the Discovery Museum: Science and Discovery Museum: Children. There was plenty to do in both museums. The Science area had lots of hands-on activities that the whole family enjoyed. The Children's Museum had really fun rooms for dramatic play. We even got to see Ruff Ruffman and some Fetchers from the PBS show Fetch! with Ruff Ruffman. The show is filmed in Boston and is one of Sophia's favorites.
